Ìý¶Ù±ð²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:Ìý The University of South Australia has established the Ian D McLachlan Memorial Grant in recognition of Ian McLachlan's commitment as a long-standing Council member of UniSA, who died on 30 April 2011. Ian was a member of the University's Finance Committee from July 1998 until April 2011 and joined the University Council as a co-opted member in 2000 and continued to serve as a Member of Council until April 2011. Ian also made significant contributions to the University through his role as Presiding Officer to the University's Audit and Risk Management Committee from 2005 until April 2011; and as Director of the ITEK Pty Ltd Board (UniSA's commercial arm) since 2006.

Ìý·¡±ô¾±²µ¾±²ú¾±±ô¾±³Ù²â:Ìý The scholarship is open to final year, full-time students from one of the following programs: Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Applied Finance or Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Commerce. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must submit a personal written statement (500 words) detailing career and personal goals and how the scholarship will assist their studies. The grant will be awarded on the basis of interview, financial disadvantage, academic merit and submission of a written statement. Continuance of the grant is subject to satisfactory academic performance and the recipient should maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 or above. Students who completed Year 11 or 12 at Unley High School, or are from a rural or isolated area will be encouraged to apply but it is not an essential criteria. These applicants should include this information in their personal written statement.
