Ìý¶Ù±ð²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:Ìý The Coal & Allied Community Development Fund has funded scholarships for students of the University of Newcastle since 2006 as part of its commitment to supporting education pathways and access to tertiary education for commencing students from communities in Maitland, Cessnock, Singleton, Muswellbrook and the Upper Hunter Local Government Areas. In 2013, Coal & Allied extended its program to provide scholarships to continuing students. This scholarship for second-year students aims to support and recognise the community participation and leadership capacity of ongoing Coal & Allied Scholars and acknowledge the role that students can play in promoting education and mentoring fellow students.

Ìý·¡±ô¾±²µ¾±²ú¾±±ô¾±³Ù²â:Ìý Applicants must: be a recipient of the Coal & Allied Community Development Fund Scholarship in the year preceding the award of this scholarship (exceptions may apply); be Australian citizens or permanent residents; and be continuing full-time students enrolled in the 2nd year of an undergraduate program in Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Education, Social Work or Science (particularly Environmental or Geology).
