Ìý¶Ù±ð²õ³¦°ù¾±±è³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:Ìý The Australian Federation of Air Pilots (AFAP) and the Australian Air Pilots Mutual Benefit Fund (MBF) have a proud history of supporting aviation education through a university scholarship program in cooperation with a number of academic aviation institutions in Australia. Together, AFAP and MBF have extended this program to Swinburne by offering 2 scholarships to assist aviation students in their pursuit of becoming a professional pilot.

Ìý·¡±ô¾±²µ¾±²ú¾±±ô¾±³Ù²â:Ìý Applicants must: be Australian citizens, permanent residents or holders of a humanitarian visa; enrol into a full-time aviation course with a concurrent active enrolment in the Graduate Certificate of Aviation (Piloting); be in the second or third year of their Bachelor studies; have attained a minimum credit average with no fails; demonstrate financial need/constraint(s) where financial support is required; demonstrate social responsibility through engagement in community and industry activities as well as commitment to the industry and striving to achieve prospective career objectives; possess and demonstrate the attribute of 'airpersonship' including leadership, communication, respect for peers and teamwork skills; and demonstrate attributes such as persistence, assertiveness, and decision-making. Second-year applicants are required to have attained their CASA Private Pilot Licence and at least 4 CPL theory exam credits, third-year applicants are to have obtained all 7 CPL theory credits and CASA IREX theory pass and have successfully completed unit AVF80002 Commercial Pilot Licence Practicum 1. The applicant's academic student history, flying training history including lesson reports and instructor's comments and observations will also be considered.
